We keep the menu tight on purpose. A shorter menu means every barber on the floor has cut that style hundreds of times, not dozens. Our core work covers skin and taper fades, scissor cuts, beard sculpts with hot towel finish, straight-razor line-ups, and cuts for kids under 12.

How much do our services cost and how long do they take?

Pricing at Border Cutz is flat. No surge, no upcharge for thicker hair, no "senior stylist" tier that quietly doubles the bill. Here's the current menu:

Most clients rebook every 21 to 28 days. Wait longer and a skin fade grows out into a wedge shape, which is why we nudge you to book before you leave.

Why does the standard matter more than the style?

Styles change. Standard doesn't. A fair fade in 2019 looked different from a fair fade in 2024, and it'll look different again in 2027. What holds is the discipline: clean guards, sanitized shears between clients, a level neckline, symmetry you can measure with a ruler.

FAQ

Do you take walk-ins or only appointments?

Both. Appointments get priority and guarantee your time slot, especially Friday afternoon through Saturday. Walk-ins are welcome any weekday morning and most weekday afternoons. If you're short on time, call ahead and we'll tell you the honest wait. We won't say "15 minutes" when it's actually 45.

How often should I get a fade cut?

Every three to four weeks for a skin or bald fade, every four to six weeks for a taper. Fades grow out fastest at the temples and nape, where the shortest guards were used. Wait past six weeks on a skin fade and you've essentially got a new haircut, one your barber didn't design.

Do you cut kids' hair?

Yes. Kids under 12 are $22 and we book 30 minutes to keep it unhurried. First haircuts are welcome, and we keep a step-stool booster seat for smaller clients. Bring a tablet or a favorite toy. We've cut through a lot of Bluey episodes.

What if I don't like the cut?

Tell us before you leave the chair. We'll fix it on the spot, no charge. If you notice something at home within 48 hours, come back and we'll adjust it free. That's the standard at Border Cutz and it hasn't changed since we opened.
